    Source: STR Global

This chart summarises trend data for weekend hotel occupancy from 2013 to 2019. "Weekend" is Friday and Saturday inclusive. This data is drawn from regional work undertaken by STR on behalf of VisitAberdeenshire.

Reviewing the most recent full year, 2018, the data illustrates that the first 6 to 7 months of the year performed, on the whole, above 2016 and 2017. September, October and November saw below average performance, before picking up again in December to finish with an average annual occupancy of 55%, above those of 2016 and 2017.

Data for the first half of 2019 is now available, the first quarter mirrored occupancy figures for 2016 and 2017, whilst the second quarter tracked more closely to 2018 figures. The third quarter tracked closely to 2017 figures.

Annual weekend hotel occupancy data is available, as is RevPAR data for the same period. See the links below.
