    This data is drawn from the Great Britain Tourism Survey, a national consumer survey measuring the volume and value of domestic overnight tourism trips taken by residents in Great Britain. 

    Almost 60% of domestic visitors choose to travel to the region by car, placing visitors in a strong position to explore the region and experience some of the competitive strengths identified within the Destination Strategy document, for example Touring and the Great Outdoors.
