How optimistic are you for the next 3 months? (Kincardine and Mearns respondents)
The Tourism Industry Barometer is a nationwide survey conducted on a quarterly basis. The survey is a partnership between VisitScotland, local councils and destination organisations. The results are used at a regional level to provide feedback to businesses on how tourism in our area is performing.
We achieved a response rate of 91 across the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire region. 31 of these respondents were from businesses within Kincardine and Mearns which gave us access to a sub-regional report specifically for this area.
61% of Kincardine and Mearns respondents claimed to be very or quite optimistic about the next 3 months (July to September), higher than the region-wide figure of 58%, and slightly lower than the Scotland-wide figure of 66%.
