How does your turnover compare to same quarter last year? (Kincardine and Mearns respondents)
The Tourism Industry Barometer is a nationwide survey conducted on a quarterly basis. The survey is a partnership between VisitScotland, local councils and destination organisations. The results are used at a regional level to provide feedback to businesses on how tourism in our area is performing.
We achieved a response rate of 91 across the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire region. 31 of these respondents were from businesses within Kincardine and Mearns which gave us access to a sub-regional report specifically for this area.
Nearly three-quarters (73%) of Kincardine and Mearns respondents stated that spend was up or similar to the comparable quarter for 2018, slightly below the region-wide figure of 74% and the Scotland-wide figure of 78%.
