Overseas Visitor Numbers 2011-2018

This line graph presents International Visitor Numbers from 2011 to 2018 and is based on data drawn from the International Passenger Survey (IPS), a continuous survey carried out by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). It covers all major air, sea and tunnel ports, providing detailed information on the numbers and types of visits made by people travelling to and from the UK. The figures represent 3-year rolling averages. 

When compared with the 2017 3-year rolling averages, the figures reveal a 3% increase for visits to the City, a 4% decrease for visits to Aberdeenshire (excluding the City) and an overall regional increase of 2%.
