Overseas Bednights 2011-2018
This line graph presents International Bednights from 2011 to 2018 and is based on data drawn from the International Passenger Survey (IPS), a continuous survey carried out by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). It covers all major air, sea and tunnel ports, providing detailed information on the numbers and types of visits made by people travelling to and from the UK. The figures represent 3-year rolling averages.
When compared with 2017 3-year rolling averages, the figures reveal a 9% decrease for bednights in the City, a 7% decrease for bednights in Aberdeenshire (excluding the City) and an overall regional decrease of 7%.
