Overseas Visitor Spend 2011-2018
This line graph presents International Visitor Spend from 2011 to 2018 and is based on data drawn from the International Passenger Survey (IPS), a continuous survey carried out by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). It covers all major air, sea and tunnel ports, providing detailed information on the numbers and types of visits made by people travelling to and from the UK. The figures represent 3-year rolling averages.
When compared with the 2017 3-year rolling averages, the figures reveal a 4% increase in spend in the City, spend in Aberdeenshire (excluding the City) remained static, resulting in an overall regional increase of 3%.
